Q. I am pouring a patio. The dimensions are 20' by 10' by 4". How much concrete do I need to order?

  

        

   

                                               

                   


                                                               
 

 

A. Begin with this basic formula for figuring cubic yards:



Now, plug in your numbers to the equation to figure out just how many cubic yards you're going to need:



You are going to need approximately 2.5 cubic yards of mix! (always round up!)

A. 1 Cubic Yard = 1.34 Tons
